God’s Guidance

Read in….        HINDI         URDU

In fact, it depends on God’s will whether one will receive guidance from God or not. He guides whomever He wills of all the misguided people. But God also says that “Whoever turns to Me and strives, We will guide them to the truth.” [Q–29:69].

Methods of meditating on God are found in the “premative Holy Book” also. And its description with detail is in the “Quran” also. The protection of which is the responsibility of God Himself.

Allah Ta’ala has described the Qur’an in such a way that there are clear paths for those who seek the truth, and for those who are arrogant and misguided, their deception looks beautiful. [That is, they go further astray] [Q-13:33, 17:82].

Big Questions are that.

  1. When Guidance comes only from the will of God, then why does God not guide the entire human race to follow the path of truth?
  2. If God Himself did not guide to us or our ancestors and we are following the path of the ancestors, what is our fault in this?

[We will try to find the answer to question number 2 in the chapter of Quran’s- The Religion of Ancestors].

In response to question number 1, Allah says that!

If there was did not agreement on one thing, we would make mankind alike. (That is, He would have made everyone guided like the angels). [Q-32:13]

And weren’t human beings one nation before (that is, the nation of Adam or Noah). But they started to disagree among themselves. And if not a word (Agreement) had been given before by your Lord, the matter would have certainly been decided between them in respect of that concerning which they disagree. [Q-10:19].

But then what was the need of man? The purpose of God’s creation of man was to bring into existence a race in which the tendency of sin is so much that it does not even recognize its creator. On the other hand, that should be so high status that there is no distance between God and man.

Perhaps that is why Allah created human beings from ringing clay’s rotten slurry. {Ringing- symbol of purity} {rotten- symbol of evil}. And put arrogance in the mind of the Devil. As a result, an agreement came into existence.

covenant promise.

Time: –            The time of the creation of the first man Adam (A.s) and the transformation of Iblis into Devil (Shetan).

presence: –   God himself, Iblis (a jinn as a great teacher), many angels, and ringing clay’s    rotten slurry for the statue of the first man.

Location: –    Unknown or maybe Aalam-e-Arwah.

————————————–

God:               (says to the angels)! I am going to create a human being from the rotten slurry of this ringing clay. So, when I fix it and pour my soul into it, then fall down in prostration to it.

When Allah Almighty put soul into Adam’s body, and when Adam (A.S) came to life, all the angels prostrated except Iblis. And Iblis refused to cooperate with the prostraters.

God:                  O Iblis! What happened to you that you did not prostrate with those who prostrated?

Iblis:               (in a haughty voice) Yes, I didn’t. Shall I prostrate before the person whom You have created from the rotten slurry of this ringing clay? Whereas you have created me from the flame of fire.

God:                  Get out from here, surely you are rejected. And upon you is the curse until the Day of Resurrection. {That is, what is your own existence after my command. And from here Iblees became Devil (Shetan)}.

Devil:                O my Lord! Then grant me a respite to live until the Day of Resurrection, on which day all people will be resurrected.

God:                 You are given respite until the appointed day (i.e., the Day of Judgment).

Devil:             O my Lord! As you have separated me from your path. I will also separate the descendants of this man from your path on earth. Except for these few people! Who will be your loyal servants?

God:               {Promise of the Covenant} The way to come to me is very straight.Get out from here. Whoever follows you from among them, their reward is the full punishment of Hellfire, and whoever of them you can seduce, keep seducing with your voice, and continue to mount the horsemen and footmen of his army on them, and continue to share in their wealth and childre,. And keep making promises to them, and all the promises that Devil makes to them are lies. You have no power over those who are my (sincere) servants.

[Q- 02:38-39, 07:11-18, 15:26-43, 17:61-65, 18:50]

Devil’s suspicion.

But I doubt! If I am not go astray them, and even do not give them too hope, and even I do not command too them. Even then, they (humans) will certainly tear off the ears of the cattle. And I shall not command them, even then they (man) will definitely change the creation of Allah.

[Q-04:117-121]

God has cursed the devil. And he (Satan) had said: I will take a compulsory portion from your servants. (118). And even if I do not lead them astray, and I do not give them hope, and I do not command them, even then these (humans) will certainly tear off the ears of the cattle. And even if I do not command them, even then they (humans) will certainly change the creation of Allah. And the one who took Shaytan as a friend besides Allah, surely, he was in a clear loss (119).

[Q-34:20-21]

Indeed, Iblis’s suspicion about them was right, so they followed him, except for a group of believers. (20) And he (Satan) had no authority over them, except we know this. Who does not believe in the Hereafter. and your Lord is All-Knowing (21)

Allah Ta’ala has determined two paths of Guidance.

  1. He who is blessed by God himself gets Guidance.
  2. The person who turns to God and strives. God’s decree for such people is that “We will surely explain to them the paths of Guidance”.[Q–29:69].

O Allah! Allow every jinni and human being in the world to opportunity to know and understand you. And find your way with your light “Qur’an”. Aameen.

The Purpose of the Covenant Between God and the Devil.

[Q-34:20-21]

And indeed Iblis (Devil) did prove true his thought about them, and they followed him, all except a group of true believers (in the Oneness of Allah). And he (Iblis Satan) had no authority over them, except that We might test him, who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt about it. And your Lord is a Hafiz over everything. (AllKnower of everything i.e. He keeps record of each and every person as regards deeds, and then He will reward them accordingly).

Identification of the people who have guidance of allah.

[Q-39:23].

Allah has sent down the best statement, a Book (this Qur’an), its parts resembling each other [Other holy Books (Torait, Injeel, Zaboor] in goodness and truth, oft repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it (when they recite it or hear it). Then their skin and their heart soften to the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah. He Guides there with whom He pleases and whomever Allah sends astray, for him there is no guide. (23)

[Q-32:15-16]

Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant. (15) They arise from [their] beds; they supplicate their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend. (16)

[Q-31:2-5]

These are Verses of the Wise Book (the Qur’an).(2) A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers)(3) Those who perform As-Salat(Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty.(4) Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful.(5)

[Q-27:01-03]

Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur’an and a clear Book। (1) As guidance and good tidings for the believers, (2) Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. (3)

The way to receive Guidance from the Quran.

[Q-03:138]

This [Qur’an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah.(138)

[Q-74:49-55]

Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away. (49) As if they were alarmed donkeys (50) Fleeing from a lion? (51) Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. (52) No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. (53) No! Indeed, the Qur’an is a reminder, (54) Then whoever wills will remember it. (55)

[Q-06:126-127]

And this is the Path of your Lord (the Qur’an and Islam) leading Straight. We have detailed Our Revelations for a people who take heed.(126) For them will be the home of peace (Paradise) with their Lord. And He will be their Wali (Helper and Protector) because of what they used to do.(127)

[Q-07:52]

Certainly, We have brought to them a Book (the Qur’an) which We have explained in detail with knowledge, – a guidance and a mercy to a people who believe.(52)

[Q-16:102]

Say (O Muhammad ﷺ) Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought it (the Qur’an) down from your Lord with truth, that it may make firm and strengthen (the Faith of) those who believe and as a guidance and glad tidings to those who have submitted (to Allah as Muslims).(102)

Verily, this is an admonition, therefore whosoever will, let him take a Path to His Lord!(19)

[Q-29:51]

Is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) which is recited to them? Verily, herein is mercy and a reminder (or an admonition) for a people who believe.(51)

The Quran is the key to the healing of faith.

” Say: “It is for those who believe, a guide and a healing. [That is, a recipe for strengthening the weaknesses of faith.]. (44)

[Q-17:82]

And We send down from the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) nothing but loss. 82.

That is, the commandments of Allah which comfort the hearts of the believers, the same decrees make the disbelievers angry.

Allah gives examples to explain to the disbelievers.

[Q-06:71]

Say, “Shall we invoke instead of Allah that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allah has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], ‘Come to us.’ ” Say, “Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.          And those who disbelieve say: “Why is not a sign sent down to him (Muhammad ﷺ) from his Lord?” Say: “Verily, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides unto Himself those who turn to Him in repentance.” 27. Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest . 28.

It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance]. (13) So invoke Allah , [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it. (14)

If you (O Muhammad ﷺ) covet for their guidance, then verily Allah guides not those whom He makes to go astray (or none can guide him whom Allah sends astray). And they will have no helpers. (37)

[Q-32:13]

And if we had willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me will come into effect [that] “I will surely fill Hell with jinn and people all together. (13)

[Q-16:93]

And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.(93)

When the disbelievers will say! I wish Allah had guided me also.

[Q-39:57-59]

Or [lest] it says, “If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous.” (57) Or [lest] it says when it sees the punishment, “If only I had another turn so I could be among the doers of good.” (58) But yes, there had come to you My verses, but you denied them and were arrogant, and you were among the disbelievers. (59).

[Q-32:22]

And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution. (22)

[Q-47:24-25]

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts? (24) Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them – Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them. (25)

The end of the misguided.

[Q-17:97-98]

And whoever Allah guides – he is the [rightly] guided; and whoever He sends astray – you will never find for them protectors besides Him, and We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection [fallen] on their faces – blind, dumb and deaf. Their refuge is Hell; every time it subsides, We increase them in blazing fire. (97) That is their recompense because they disbelieved in Our verses. (98)

[Q-32; 20-21]

But as for those who defiantly disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Every time they wish to emerge from it, they will be returned to it while it is said to them, “Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny.” (20) And we will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent. (21)
